What You Need To Know Before Attending A Braves Game

SUNTRUST PARK NEED TO KNOW INFO

First pitch of the the Braves home opener against the Chicago Cubs (view tickets here) is just a few hours away. Whether you are going to the game tonight or one later this season make sure you remember these few nuances about seeing a game at SunTrust before arriving. They can save you a ton of stress or prevent a bad experience.
  • Pre-purchase parking passes online before arriving on site. It will save you a time and prevent the dreaded drive around "The Circle" in bumper to bumper traffic.
  • If you don't pre-pay for parking don't plan on finding a cash lot. All parking lots are credit card only.
  • If you’re a transit user, you can take Bus 12 from the Midtown MARTA station all the way to Cumberland Mall. From there, hop aboard the Cumberland Circular Shuttle (blue or green route) to get to the The Battery and SunTrust Park.
  • Tailgating is only allowed in lot 29. If you crack a beer in any other lot one of the local police will give you a ticket.
  • SunTrust doesn't have a clear bag policy (yet), but your bag has to be smaller than 16" x 16" x 8". The team also allows outside food if you bring it in a one gallon clear plastic bag.
  • If you need a cold one during the game we suggest hitting up the Terrapin Chop House. It's only $5 for craft beer and they have heat/ac. Sure you might miss a few pitches, but the savings on beer is totally worth it.
  • Before buying your seat make sure you check out our Seat Buying Guide. Not all seats are good for all games (i.e. 3rd base line for a day game is terrible).
