The 10 Worst Seats In Sports

Going to watch a major sporting event is as much about the atmosphere – the noise, crowd, the build-up - as it is about actually watching the live spectacle, right?
Would you be prepared to pay good money just to get into the stadium of the team you love – even if it didn’t guarantee an actual view of the action?
Well, that’s what the NBA’s Golden State Warriors are now offering their fans
The Warriors have put on sale 200 “in the building” passes. The cost: $100 per month. That does not include access to the seating bowl or even a view of the court. Instead, they’ll be able to watch on screens in the club areas and get access to restaurants and bars.
Would you pay it?
Sometimes, though, even when you’ve bought a ticket for a seat in the stadium, that may not guarantee a proper view of the action. Folk have paid hard-earned moolah to watch from these terrible seats.

This a good reminder if the seat is obstructed it means it!

#10 Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins Section 111, Row 13.

The Dolphins have been bad enough, but imagine going to see your team and having to sit here.

#9. The Bleachers at New Yankee Stadium

We still aren't sure how this design was green lit by the Steinbrenner family, but it was. Now Yankee fans who elect for the cheap seats only get to see 1/2 of the outfield.

#8. American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX Section 201, Row F.

You can't even see the goal! The worst part is the company who designed this stadium repeated the fopaux when they desisgned Barclay's Center in Brooklyn.

#7. The Expensive Seats at AT& T Stadium in Dallas, TX

Hopefully the drinks are good because these high priced seats a Jerry Wold only have a view of Dak and the Boys backsides.

#6. Sun Devil Stadium home of Arizona State

You might have a blocked view of a Pac 12 game, but we hear the camera guy does a great play by play.

#5. The Press Box Seat at Citi Field

It's hard to feel bad for the media, but it would pretty hard to write about a game you can't actually see.

#4. The Bleachers at Wrigley

It's not a Wrigley bleachers experience without an obstructed view. We think these were safety nets before safety nets were invented.

#3. The Upper Deck at Lucas Oil Stadium

The seats don't even face the field. Probably not as bad for a football game, but every time the NCAA comes to town a bunch of unsuspecting fans leave needing a trip to the chiropractor.

#3. Goodison Park home of Everton FC

Everton's home is a famous old stadium  opened in 1892. The Old Lady still boasts one of the best atmospheres in the world. However, not every fan who goes there is pleased about having to watch their team play like this.

#2. Right Field in Fenway Park

And this isn't even the worst seat at Fenway.

#1. Grandstand Section 23, Row 2, Seat 17 at Fenway Park

Probably the most famous obstructed view in sports. You can't actually see anything. The best part is people regularly pay hundreds of dollars to sit here, even more during the playoffs. Maybe the Warriors are onto something; being in the venue matters just as much as watching the game sometimes.
The moral of this story is to make sure you pay attention to the notices on our website when you're buying tickets. It will let you know if you view is obstructed before going.
