Exploring State Farm Arena: The Players Club

Have the fan experience of a lifetime at this Monday's Warrior's matchup

Imagine the perfect sports bar: Massive TV's everywhere, all the essential bar foods (nachos, pizza, wings..etc) created by one of the world's best chef's, tons of beers options and the perfect decor including tables built from your favorite basketball teams court. Sounds pretty epic right? Now imagine in this sports bar you can also watch your favorite team run out the tunnel to compete, see their post game press conference in person from your table, OH and when you walk out of your private bar entrance you can high five a hall of fame athlete. Seems like a fairy tale, right? This is exactly what the Atlanta Hawks have delivered with their new Players Club. The team has created the a perfect sports bar and the best part is that it is inside of the freshly remodeled State Farm Arena. We recently took a trip down to the arena to see if the product matched the hype and here are our thoughts:

Location Of The Players Club  The Players Club sits underneath section 119 at State Farm Arena and access to it is included with any double letter (AA, BB, CC..etc) seat in sections 118-122. The tickets also include a $30 food/drink credit, which is more than enough to get a couple of beers and some good bar food. The entrance to the club sits on the court level and to access it you have to walk right by Dominique Wilkins calling the game for Fox Sports South. If you time it right he'll generally pose for a picture with you while you are on your way to get a refill on your favorite pub grub.

The Food Like we mentioned earlier the fare in the Player's Club is sports bar themed and includes all your favorites. We tested out the pizza, wings, fries and burgers and they were all exactly what we were looking for in our bar food: flavorful and filling. The club has a wide selection of beer, liquor and wine but the vibe is still very kid friendly.

Unique Features The Players Club features some really unique amenities including an open window to high five the players as they run out onto the court for the game, a window to watch and hear the post game press conferences. Like any good sports bar it also has massive TV's where they show the Hawks games and pretty much every other sporting event going on.

Final Thoughts If you are a Hawks fan the Players Club delivers an experience that can't be matched unless you are sitting court side. Another way of saying is that despite the team being dreadful this year, the club elevates the experience of the game to such a high level that it really doesn't matter, you go there to be in the club and be closer to the action than you'll ever get without suiting up for the team.
